BHA replied:  “Linda, we've had several calls about litters of kitties. They are not old enough to be adopted just yet but you are now on our "wish list" for an orange kitten. We'll call you when the kitties are available for adoption."

It's the time of year when flowers are in bloom, the days are longer and kitties galore are being born. BHA will soon have lots of these cute and cuddly creatures and will be looking for great homes to love them forever. If you are interested in adopting a kitty, we'll call you when they are old enough to be adopted (age 8 - 10 weeks) - you'll have plenty to choose from!

No matter what you are looking for, dog (breed, size, gender, age) or cat (color, age, gender) we will include you in our wish list and call you when a pet matching your description becomes available for adoption.

We also recommend going to petfinder.com and adoptapet.com and type in what you are looking for. Both sites will bring up all the pets matching your criteria within a 100 mile radius. Every fostering and sheltering organization utilizes these sites so you should be able to see all the pets available for adoption.

You’ll not only be getting the pet you wished for, you’ll be giving a homeless cat or dog a loving home!

Warmer weather brings lots of orphaned kittens and an increase in

homeless dogs. The Beartooth Humane Alliance (BHA) is now recruiting

individuals to provide foster care for the homeless animals. Dogs, cats,

puppies, and kittens who have no home of their own are temporarily

placed with a Foster Family until a Forever Family is found.

The foster care program is a win-win-win for the foster family,

the adoptable pet, and BHA.

BHA offers a daily stipend for foster care. Typically,

• a $3.00 per day stipend is offered for fostering a cat/kittens and
• a $5.00 per day stipend is offered for fostering a dog/puppy.

BHA provides each animal with age appropriate Science Diet food,

kitty litter, collar/identification (dog), toys, and all medical care.

All that is required of the foster family is supervision, socialization,

exercise, water, and lots of TLC.
